Challenges With Casinos in Detroit You May Not See Coming

Cities like Detroit have experienced such dire economic problems that they have not been able to survive off of casinos alone, but on other forms of revenue, including hotels, restaurants, and entertainment. This has been a long awaited victory for the gaming industry since, for decades, the gaming industry has operated as a massive cash cow for both sides of the political spectrum. Although the news has not yet officially been made public, the conclusion from a recently released report confirms that, for the first time, the state of Michigan, which runs five casinos, has lost money on those casinos in a single year.
